Kansas Trip/First Airplane Ride!

Kairis had her first airplane ride on May 21, 2009. We all flew to Kansas to visit family for a few short days. Kairis, you were an exceptional traveler! Your flexibility and adaptability really surprised me. I am looking forward to traveling lots more with you in the future. So, on to the Kansas trip...












You met your Great Grandma Ferdinand for the first time, along with your cousins, Nathan and Hannah Crosswhite. Also, we got together with all of your extended aunts and uncles and cousins. It was a lot of fun meeting all of the new babies in the family and showing off our little corn-bug. ;) Dad's friends, Dave and Sarah surprised us too, and we got to meet there newest addition, Ember Dawn, who was born two days before you. Ember was a little bit more "forward" and you were unsure of why she was grabbing your shirt most of the time. It was funny to watch you two interact. You loved the swing Grandma and Grandpa bought for you. Everyone commented on how beautiful and adorable you are, Kairis. Don't we know it! ;) Oh, I can't forget: your cousin, Nathaniel and you had a special moment together before we flew home. He was making you laugh and laugh in the car, and you cried when he left. Sure enough, when he came back outside to say one last goodbye, you lit up and were happy to see him again. That made him feel so special! Also, Dave and Sarah's little girl, Avery, was a doll too--she was mesmerized by you and kept calling you "baby carrots" or "baby carriage". It was so stinkin' cute!
