Back to the Daily Grind...

So, now that our little Kairis is all better, we're back to our day-to-day routine. Routine, you might ask? Yeah, I have no set "routine" really. Just trying to maintain an ever erupting volcano of laundry, keeping edible food on the table for Tim, hang drying diapers, keeping Emma (our kitty friend) happy, oh....and of course spending lots and lots of quality time with Kairis. I laid a blanket down for her on the floor in her room, and lately she's been playing with her toys on it while I sit next to her with the computer and do homework. It's a win-win for us. I get homework done, she gets floor-play-tummy-time, and I'm still within arm's reach, and, most importantly to Kairis right now, eye's view. She is going through some sort of attachment separation anxiety stage, so this is a helpful way for both of us to enjoy our time together for a bit during the day. When I have to cook, clean, etc. she enjoys riding on my back in the Ergo carrier or playing in exersaucer in the dining room. She's enjoying playing with her feet, sitting up (with assistance) and leaning forward to play with her feet again....and yeah, playing with her feet. It's totally her thing right now. :) As for new developments, I've noticed Kairis is increasing her awareness of baby sign language I'm teaching her. She knows and understands the milk sign really well, and we're working on "mommy" and "daddy" and "sleep". I'm going to a baby sign class soon with her, and actually bringing this certified instructor to Mom's play-group at church in about a month or so to teach a free class. I'm really excited about this! Enjoy some recent pictures...taken in the past week.
