You're almost one now, and I can hardly believe how fast these past 12 months have gone. I only hope you slow down just a bit so I can savor each moment for just a few minutes longer. Your daddy and I are so smitten with you and the things you're learning every day, and most importantly, the little lady you're becoming. You are thoughtful, observant, contemplative, sensitive to others, and all around a sweet little girl who loves to laugh and smile with us. You squeal every time you see Emma at the bottom of the stairs and thoughtfully ponder how to catch her when you're sitting at the top of the stairs looking down. You don't act impulsively, but instead contemplate every move, even down to the nitty gritty details of your action. I am fascinated at how patient you are and how you just take your time with people.

7-04-09-favorite activity, taking clothes out of mommy and daddy's drawers.
7-5-09-4th of July. We spent the day at the Lubeck's and thoroughly enjoyed watching fireworks together. I'll never forget how much fun Kairis had watching the fireworks. She wasn't scared in the least by the sounds. Daddy also taught Kairis how to roll a ball back and forth. She loved this game.
7-7-09-enjoying beets for dinner out of the garden. Beet face in bath tub. :)
7-14-09-"Petting" Emma on bed. One of her favorite activities, of course when Emma cooperates that is!
