Kairis! You're one today! (well, not technically TODAY, as I'm so behind in blogging lately!) Your daddy and I are so blessed by you. You are our biggest blessing from God, and we are very thankful for your little life.
We celebrated your first b-day in the park next to our home. I made two different kinds of cupcakes, chocolate and vanilla. The frosting was colored pink with beets from Grandma Kay's garden! Who wanted red food coloring anyway? :) You had a great time at your party. Everyone that came was generous, and gave you lots of cool wooden toys from Melissa and Doug's line. Wow, they know your parents well, I'd say! ;)
Your daddy and I enjoyed watching you open presents that evening, and though you had no clue it was your birthday, I'm certain you knew we were celebrating something worthwhile. You were very excited about the balloons, and even enjoyed your first taste of artificial sugar in your chocolate cupcake. You actually only ate about half of the cake, and then threw the rest on the ground. I made you your first blueberry pancakes too, for breakfast. You devoured them!
